DESCRIPTION

The undergraduate minor in Comparative Cultural and Religious Studies replaces the previous Magister Minors Ethnology / Anthropology, religious studies and folklore / European ethnology.

The minor in Comparative Cultural and Religious Studies provides basic knowledge in cultural and religious sciences. It consists the possibility a focus on one of the three constituent subjects anthropology, religious studies and folklore / put European Ethnology. Study objectives of the minor subject Comparative Cultural and Religious Studies, the teaching of general and subject-specific scientific qualifications, the application of empirical methods and hermeneutical interpretation methods theoretical reflection, and the ability to acquire exemplary knowledge of cultures and religions, cultural certainties own positions and everyday perceptions questioning and cultural, ethnic and religious stereotypes critically reflect.
